Bars and Beats is Downtown Dallas’ newest Thursday night open mic experience—an energetic mix of live performances, music, food, and social vibes that sets the tone for the weekend. Hosted at Esco Restaurant, the event kicks off with happy hour at 6 PM, followed by dinner and live entertainment starting at 7 PM. Artists take the mic at 8 PM to showcase spoken word and poetry in a laid-back, welcoming environment.

We call Thursday The Weekend Eve, a chance to unwind early, connect with creative energy, and enjoy drinks, a full kitchen, and even adult game night after the show. Whether you’re performing or just vibing, this is where culture and community meet before the weekend begins.
